Korean ARMYs are currently boycotting BTS because Big Hit Entertainment has not released any statements about their possible collaboration with AKB48 producer.

On September 13th, it was reported that producer of AKB48, Yasushi Akimoto, will write the lyrics of BTS' upcoming Japanese title track, titled 'Bird.' Up until now, Big Hit Entertainment has not released any statements nor confirmation about it. Fans are opposing the idea of the collaboration, claiming that the boys could do just well even without the collaboration and that Yasushi Akimoto indeed does not suit with BTS' music style.

Currently, Korean ARMYs are boycotting the group and Big Hit Entertainment by temporarily not showing support to them, until they give the feedback. Fans are currently not streaming BTS' songs, music videos, and live broadcasts. They have also agreed not to buy BTS' albums and official merchandises.

The official fan cafe of BTS is now flooded by fans' post about the boycott, asking Big Hit Entertainment to respond to the issue as soon as possible.

What are your thoughts about this, ladies and gentlemen?
