BLACKPINK’s Rosé has set a new record for female Korean soloists!
Rosé made her solo debut on March 12 with her single album “R” and its title track “On The Ground.”
Billboard has now announced that “On The Ground” scored the No. 70 spot on the Hot 100 chart for the week ending March 27. In 2016, CL became the first Korean female soloist to chart on the Hot 100 when “Lifted” took No. 94, and she was the only female Korean soloist to rank on the list until today.

It's her first solo entry on the chart, outside of her work as a member of @BLACKPINK.
The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay, and sales data.
Rosé has previously charted multiple times on the Hot 100 with her group BLACKPINK—their highest ranking so far is No. 13 for their “Ice Cream” collaboration with Selena Gomez. BLACKPINK’s Top 40 entries on the Hot 100 have also included No. 33 for their group track “How You Like That” as well as their “Sour Candy” collaboration with Lady Gaga.
Last week, Rosé became the first female K-pop soloist to ever score a spot on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart. Her solo debut success has included breaking records for the highest 1st-week album sales for a K-pop female soloist, most YouTube views within the first 24 hours on a music video by a K-pop soloist, the most streams achieved in 24 hours by a song officially released by a K-pop soloist on Spotify, and more.
